Associate Professor of Theater at Daemen University, Christian Brandjes hails from Baltimore, MD, and attended the University of Vermont where he received his BA in English. He received his MFA in Acting from Brandeis University. He has been a member of the Actors Equity Association, the union of professional actors, since 1994.

He has appeared in over 20 off-Broadway and regional productions, including as a company member of The Irondale Ensemble Project, a company member of Stage West, a founding member of the Blue Hill Performance Ensemble, the Gloucester Stage Company, and solo performance at the San Francisco Mime Troupe.

Additionally, Brandjes was the Improvisation Professor at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, a fight choreographer, and a frequent voice-over actor in NYC.

Since relocating to Buffalo in 2003 to teach at Daemen, he has appeared in over 40 productions in local professional theaters, including the Irish Classical Theatre, Shea’s 710 Main, the Kavinoky Theater, MusicalFare Theater, TornSpace Theater, the New Phoenix Theater, Road Less Traveled Productions, and Shakespeare in Delaware Park.
